The vibration damper for use in vehicles between the chassis and the wheel suspension has at least two working chambers and a compensating chamber which are filled with damping fluid. Flow channels (15, 17) are fitted between a working chamber (7) and the compensating chamber (9) and/or between the working chambers which produce a rotational movement in the fluid.
