Holes milled in the metal plate correspond in shape, radius and spacing to current segment-tooled diamond drills and the metal plate has a central threaded fixer rod to fix the drill bit to the segments. Rod can be used for varied drill bit lengths and the metal plate is backed by a further plate as counter plate which is free of holes and prevents the segments dropping out. Arrangement sits on a foot piece allowing a full 360 deg revolution.
