Magnetic valve with flow monitoring function for pipelines, especially gas, water and district heating supply lines that are laid underground. The closing bodies of the valves are ferromagnetic so that the valves can be closed electromagnetically without servo support. The inventive valve can be shut manually using a coil (4) that is connected to a voltage source via a cable (9) and socket. The valve shuts automatically when the flow through the pipeline in which it is positioned exceeds a threshold value.
