The seat (1) has a spring system (1b) and a frame (1a) which supports the springs, and a pair of parallel links (1c) connecting it to a longitudinally-sliding rail (3a). This rail moves along a fixed rail (3b), fastened to the floor of the car. A spring (4) connects the fixed rail to a bell crank (5) pivoted (5b) on the seat frame. The crank bears on a pressure plate to lift the springs of the seat.
