A method for adjusting a time point for the writing of data with an optical disc drive, involves receiving a calibration signal (204) which is a function of the time reference information and of the data information, then measuring at least two values of the calibration signal and then adjusting a time point for writing (206) relative to a reference signal (202) dependent on the relative value of the measurements of the calibration signal.
