The pump can deliver hotmelt glue from the reservoir tank to the gluing pistol via the hose to deliver glue selectively onto a substrate (24) like a non-woven fabric. A heater (26) allocated to the reservoir tank is controlled selectively to keep the glue in the tank at a preset raised temperature. An Independent claim is also included for an adapter for making an electrical connection between a hose with first and second resistor temperature detectors and a regulator compatible with only one of the two temperature detectors.
