New use for sludge recovered from reservoir water treatment plants, admixes chemicals to modify its properties for soil improvement and plant growth

Filter sludge properties are changed, suiting it for soil improvement and plant growth. A simplified water separator is employed. Its separation efficiency is improved by formation of a thin-wall membrane, which conforms with surfaces of the filter sludge. This has an absorption/suction effect and a viscous sponge characteristic. Such membrane formation has diverse applications.
