Use of carbon-doped polyolefin material for retention of polyhalogenated compounds, e.g. to remove polychlorinated dibenzodioxin and dibenzofuran compounds from combustion off-gas

The use of a material for the retention of polyhaolgenated compounds (I), consisting of a filler which is suitable for the adsorption of (I), completely integrated and enclosed within a polyolefin matrix. An independent claim is also included for a method for the retention of (I) by using this material.
