Intake channel arrangement for IC engines with intake valve axis cutting across primary channel at one point

The arrangement has an intake valve (5), a helical primary channel (2) and a secondary channel (3). The axis (5a) of the intake valve touches the primary channel at a tangent or crosses it at one point. The secondary channel opens into the valve chamber (4) in direction of the valve axis, and valve axis and central secondary channel axis (3a) coincide pref. in the area of the valve chamber. The secondary channel is a neutral or tangential channel, and primary and secondary channel have flow profiles of the same size.
