The monolithic structure has a series of monolithic parts (70), providing a sequence of acceleration spaces (72) along a particle beam axis, coupled via coupling spaces (74), communicating with the adjacent acceleration spaces via coupling openings (80) of differing size for providing a asymmetric coupling. An Independent claim for a charged particle delivery system is also included.
