A cover (10) consists of several sectors (14,22) partly removable to access the vehicle parts below (11). One side at least of the sectors (14,22) is stitched together and is hinged at the opposing side by hinges (25). The inner layer of the cover is made of soft nonscratch material as against the outer layer (13) which is made of waterproof plastics. In the front part of this layer (13) between bonnet, roof and rear window the outer layer has a part sufficiently thick to resist weather during transport. The removable sectors (14,22) are fitted round door (15), engine space and/or tank protector window. Once opened the sectors (14,22) remain fixed to the vehicle by sucker.
