The invention relates to a hygienic protection device for toilets (2), consisting of a store (8) containing a replaceable pile of seat elements (9) made up of a plurality of individual, removable toilet seat elements (7). Said store (8) comprises a support device (10) for supporting the pile of seat elements (9) and a holding device for fixing the same to the toilet (2). Said toilet seat elements (7) and the support device (10) are mounted on the holding device (15) in a moveable, preferably pivotable, manner. The pivot rest (17) is preferably embodied as a spiral spring or as a snap ring rest. A sheet holder (14) is applied to the upper edge of the store (8) for the individual sheets in the pile of seat elements (9).
