The vertical or non-vertical, parallel axles (2a,2b) supporting the polishing discs (4a,4b) are arranged so that they form a polishing-tunnel in which the workpieces (6), especially bottles, being polished move as a result of downward exerted gravitational force. The polishing axles are positioned at the four corners of a square base plate (1). The top end of the tunnel has a feeder tube (5) above which is a conveyor-belt for the workpieces.
