The light signal measuring system has a light detector array, with a pulse provided in response to each detected photon, indicating the reception time point and the reception position. The output signals from all detector elements are fed to a summing device, to provide a common time point indication pulse, with charge amplifiers coupled to the elements connected via comparators to a coding circuit providing the coded position signal. The time point of the time pulse provides the lower half of a memory address and the coded position signal provides the upper half of the memory address.
