The bag-making process is for a bag with a flat bottom and a stuck-in internal crosspiece. A contact adhesive (34, 52, 54) is used for the internal crosspiece. Its adhesive properties are only effective when two surfaces coated with this adhesive are pressed against each other. The contact adhesive is applied to the bag material before this material is closed to form a tube and before the bottom position is established. Adhesion is then achieved after pressing the internal crosspiece, with contact adhesive applied, to the flat bottom (18).
