Repair of soliton and wdm optical fiber under water transmission systems

The invention relates to a method for repairing an optical fiber transmission system of the wavelength and to the accompanying drawing, in which the various wavelengths (lambda1 to lambdan) of the multiplex are chosen so as to ensure, on an interval (zr), a relative sliding between the various channels is substantially equal to a multiple of the bit time, comprising the steps - for the introduction of an additional length (13) of the optical fiber in the transmission system and - of compensation (15, 17i, 19) of the effects of this additional length on the relative sliding of the various channels of the multiplex. It also relates to a device for the repair of such an optical fiber transmission system of the wave length and in the soliton signals. The present invention avoids the relative sliding of the channels because of the introduction in the transmission system, an additional length of fiber.
