Decorative thermosetting resin-based moulding material including mineral and reinforcing fillers, characterized in that it contains at least: a) one unsaturated polyester, vinylester or acrylic-type resin dissolved in a monomer or a blend of liquid monomers comprising at least one vinyl reactive group capable of being polymerized; b) optionally one thermoplastic anti-shrinkage agent soluble in the liquid monomer or monomer blend and constituting, during copolymerisation of the resin and the monomer, an optically heterogeneous composition; c) one or more organic peroxide type catalysts; d) one or more release agents; e) a blend of mineral fillers containing: a constituent (A) comprising fillers having a MOHS hardness of between 2 and 5 and a particle size below 250 mu m; a constituent (B) comprising fillers having a MOHS hardness of between 6 and 10 and a particle size of between 20 mu m and 5 mm.
