The greetings card consists of two panels (2, 3) enclosing decorative elements (5) which are deployed when the card is opened. The panels are joined to a spine (4) carrying a tubular support (8) for a firework (9) which is concealed between the panels when the card is closed. The panels and spine are made in one piece from card or other material, e.g. plastic, and have slits (20) for tabs (6, 11) on the decorative elements and tubular supports. Other slits (28, 29) receive a tongue (14) which holds the card in the closed position; after opening, the firework can be lit with a match after removing a cover (26) over its fuse.
