Manufacture of polymer component comprises aggregating particles of polymer material by thermo-fusion, e.g. by laser, with or without metal core, and exposing it during cold curing stage to electron flow at ambient temperature, in controlled atmosphere and in position exposing its whole surface to flow to give its outer surface melting point at least 50 deg C higher than the melting point of the initial polymer material. Manufacture of polymer component comprises aggregating particles of polymer material by thermo-fusion, e.g. by laser, with or without metal core, and exposing it during cold curing stage to electron flow at ambient temperature, in controlled atmosphere and in position exposing its whole surface to flow to give its outer surface melting point at least 50 degreesC higher than the melting point of the initial polymer material. The parameters and exposure to the electron flow are determined to give the component a surface skin, to fix its volume or to obtain a transitional layer from its outer surface to its core in a thermo-set or thermoelastic state. Prior to the cold curing stage the component can be injected with a reticulation agent, and afterwards it can be varnished, painted or subjected to pore-filling.
