Method of coding of speech signals transmitted to a subscriber terminal (1, 1 'or 2) during a telephone call, of a voip, established by means of a network (3) of transmission by packets. Conventionally, the speech signals are cut into a succession of sections of the same time by the encoders (9) of the terminals, prior to be encoded and transmitted by packets, and they are reconstituted from the received packets, by eliminating any packet received in a double and by using a dissimulation algorithm for the edges corresponding to the missing packets. The method provides an analysis of the coding used to identify any edge which is capable of not being able to be replaced by the dissimulation algorithm, if the corresponding packet loss. The transmission is doubled by the sender terminal for any packet corresponding to a slice analyzed as capable of not being able to be replaced.
