Compositions containing an N-acyl glucosamine derivative (I') and a support for phytosanitary application are new. Compositions containing an N-acyl glucosamine derivative of formula (I') and a support for phytosanitary application are new. A6, A4, A3 = OH, OR5, OCOR5, OSO2R5, O(CH2)n-NR6-CmH2m+1, NHCOR5, O(CH2)n-NR6-CO- CmH2m+1, O(CH2)n-S-CmH2m+1, SR6, NR6R7, or NR6R7R8+X-; R5 = 1-18C alkyl; n = 1-17; m = 0 - 16 such that (n+m) is less than 18; R6, R7, R8 = H or 1-12C alkyl; X- = a mineral or organic anion; R'2 = 1-4C alkyl, ethynyl, or NR'3R'4; R'3, R'4 = CiH2i+1; i = 0 - 4 with the proviso that the anomeric C atom is in position alpha or beta , with the exception of those compounds of formula (I') where A6 = A4 = A3 = OH. Independent claims are also included for compounds of formula (I). R1 = R or CO-R; R = 5 - 18C alkyl; R2 = 1-4C alkyl, ethynyl, or NR3R4; R3 = CpH2p+1; R4 = CqH2q+1; p, q = 0 - 4 other than those compounds of formula (I) in which R1 = CO-(CH2)6-CH3, or -CO(CH2)14-CH3 and R2 = CH3.
