The automatic plant watering system comprises an internal (1a) and external (1) pot, with an annular watering gap (6) between them. A water store (5) below the internal pot is fed by this. The amount of water fed into this is controlled by a lever (4) and float (7) mechanism. A filler column (20) allows water to be poured into the annular gap. Annular gap contains a dipstick (17,22), allowing the level of water to be checked. This is fitted with a filter (21) to keep out sand.
