Electronic inverter that draws very low no-load current, uses load current to excite primary of switching transformer controlling semiconductor switches, so losses under no-load operation are reduced
The inverter has a self-oscillatory bridge circuit with the cyclic conduction of its semiconductor switches controlled by a switching transformer (1) whose primary is traversed by the secondary of the output transformer (3). Under no load (6) the only current drawn is the leakage current of the break over device (9) used to trigger operation of the circuit.
