The enclosure (1) is erected round a specific aquatic zone so that individuals can enter and study the flora and fauna within it. The walls (4) of the enclosure are made at least partly from a material that allows for an exchange of water between the zone inside the enclosure and the area outside it, and where the enclosure is immersed in deep water it can have an upper portion that can be lowered or raised, a marked route (16) and a handrail to guide an observer.
