Thermo-induced yellowing of textile articles pretreated with finishing agent comprising aqueous composition of polydimethyl siloxane oil with amine groups and nitrogen content 0.05-7.5 wt.% is prevented by adding derivative of phosphonic acid, in form of acid or water-soluble salt, to the finishing agent composition. Independent claims are also included for (1) finishing/softening aqueous composition for textile articles comprising polydimethyl siloxane oil with amine groups, of total nitrogen content 0.05-7.5 wt.%, and containing additionally derivative of phosphonic acid in acidic or water-soluble salt form; (2) textile article pretreated using process as claimed or the composition as claimed.
