The method of fixing a ceramic veneer (P) on a support wall (M) comprises drilling holes (20) of a first diameter in several places in the veneer. Holes (30) of a second diameter less than the first are drilled in the wall to correspond with those in the veneer. An anchoring rod (301) is fixed into each wall hole by means of a chemical sealing product (S). The rod has a thread on the side opposite to the wall. A veneer retaining nut is then screwed onto the rod. An Independent claim is included for a fixing rod and retaining nut.
