The closure for a glove (1) comprises a sleeve (3) running around its cuff, through which a cord ( 4) is threaded. Its ends emerge through a slit and pass through a clamping device (8). A loop of cord emerges from a second slit (7) opposite the first. When the emerging ends are pulled the cord tightens and is held tight by the clamp. It is released by pulling on the loop on the other side.
