Production of polysiloxane type polymers with lateral chains, some of them crosslinked with the others, designed to capture one type of organic molecules, comprises reacting siloxane copolymer, having at least one substituent with increased affinity to the respective type of organic molecules, with crosslinking agent, in the presence of a platinum catalyst. The process comprises reaction of copolymer of formula (I) in the presence of a platinum catalyst with crosslinking agent of formula H2C=CH-R-CH=CH2 (II). -(Si(S1)(S2)-O)x-(Si(S3)(H)-O)y- (I) x + y = 1; S1, S2 = at least one of them is a group with high affinity to organic molecule to be detected; S1 and S3 = alkyl or alkoxy group; S2 = saturated or aromatic, with terminal group -C(CF3)2-OH. The Full definitions are given in DEFINITIONS (Full Definitions) field). R = alkyl or aryl group, optionally partially fluorinated, or the group of type of organic Si derivative. Independent claims are also included for: (1) production, on substrate, of a thin film of polysiloxane-type polymer as described, by a) depositing the first solution comprising copolymer of formula (I), in first solvent, b) depositing second solution comprising crosslinking agent (II) in second solvent, c) depositing third solution comprising platinum catalyst in third solvent, and d) evaporation of solvents; (2) chemical sensor, comprising thin film of polymer obtained as claimed, and device capable to transform the recorded variation of physical property into an optical or an electric signal.
