Device with a laser equivalent surface that is precisely known is suitable for measurement of the behavior of an active detection device. Said device comprises an objective (2) and a mirror (3) arranged to form an optical axis (OZ) with an image plane at a none-zero distance from the mirror. Means are provided for regulating the distance between objective and mirror. The invention also relates to a corresponding measurement method.
