The propulsive power unit consists of a jet pipe (29), in which a gas fluid is guided down a primary flow path (31), to be ejected through an outlet to produce propulsive power directed forward. A power inverter (30) redirects the flow into a second path (39) to invert the power, by means of a redirection structure (33), which is displaceable between an active position and an inactive position. In the active position the redirection zone includes a cavity (40), in which the redirected flow produces a counter pressure, which assists in the redirection of the flow.
