The lift supervision system has a supervisor system (7) connected to a controller (A) or a communications loop of a lift block. An anomaly or breakdown is detected by the supervisor system, and passed to a successive list of operators which intervene to reestablish the lift function. The anomalous signal contains selected information about the breakdown and whether there are person trapped in the lift.
