The torsional vibration damper for a vehicle clutch comprises a web (60) and a support which can rotate with respect to each other about a common axis and are connected by circumferential damping springs (90). These are held in position circumferentially by lugs (65) on the web and lugs (82) on the support and radially by a guide ring (100) which passes through the springs and is integral with the web. The lugs on the support are positioned on either side of the ring and the lugs on the web can move freely between them.
