A safety device comprises of a stay (9) located between screw threaded ends. The stay has a pair of openings (10) spaced from each other at predetermined distance. An l=shaped retainer (11) has a front portion (12) connected to the stay, and a rear portion (14) abutting a piping element e.g. a valve (4). The spacing between openings of the front portion is equal to that between stay openings. An Independent claim is also included for a cryogenic fluid container.
