The lock protection comprises a protection cylinder (3) made from a hollow piece with the same profile as the cylinder (B). A plug (E) integral with the protection cylinder partially seals one of its openings whilst retaining a passage for the introduction of a key into the cylinder. A reinforcing part (C) is welded onto the protection cylinder.
