Measurement of flow rates in sealed pipe networks using cross- correlation techniques with improved modular sensor mounting arrangements

Annular carrier device for positioning and maintaining in place of sensors (10) around a pipe (1). Device comprises a number of sensor supports (2) each having a sensor mounting mechanism and the same number of arms (8) fixed at each end to the sensor support. The length of each arm is proportional to pipe diameter. A pressure socket contains a sensor and holds it against a pipe wall. Independent claims are made for an inter-correlation flowmeter using the inventive sensor mounting devices and a method for mounting the flow rate sensors.
