There is an overhanging platform (11) on the edge of the chassis allowing it to extend itself from the pontoon or the quay in order to allow the gangway to overhang the freeboard of the boat during embarkation, this platform being retractable. The device includes a box-like chassis (2), and identical posts (3a,3b), each one integrated to a transmission unit (3) and streamlining unit (8). There are two identical gangways (6a,6b) connected to a system of telescoping pivoting arms (5), for allowing access to the device, and activated by a mini-console using hydraulic or electrical systems. There are security devices, or body guards (12a,12b) which cause actuation of the device, and also access ramps and plinths.
