The procedure for plugging an orifice (2) between two intersecting walls (3, 4) of a component consists of applying a first plug (10) to the first wall (3) so that it covers one section (11) of the orifice and has a portion (12) projecting beyond its edge (23), and a second plug (20) to a section (21) of the orifice in the second wall (4). A portion (24) of the second plug covers the edge (22) of the first plug that projects beyond the edge (23) and is shorter than the width of the plug edge (22). Once the two plugs are in place a pressure is applied to them to seal the orifice.
