The support padding (1) comprises a base support (2) and a foam sheet (3) held on the base by ties (4,5). A padding model is made and for each model a series of paddings of identical shape having different maximum sides. Two types of tie having a different visual appearance are made and a symbolic value is given to each type representing a length, the number of tie types. For each padding of a series a combination of ties is selected to ensure the holding of the foam on the support base.
