The log (1,1') is composed of two parts (2,6) with a right angled triangle section which are fitted together (11,12) along the respective hypotenuse (4,8). The outer piece forms an exterior wall portion (5) and a lower support horizontal surface (3). The inner piece forms an interior wall portion (9) and an upper horizontal support surface (7). A metal plate (17,18) is interposed between the two diagonal surfaces of each log. An Independent claim is included for a wooden structure made from logs.
