The three-way tap allows take-off from a pipe from the side or above It has a main take-off port (10), lateral port (12) and an aperture (11) for inserting a piercing tool. The central chamber contains a three-way ball (21) . This fits in between pairs of seatings (23, 25, 22, 24) in the central chamber and has flattened sections in the open areas. One seating of each pair is fitted with a flexible collar.
