Method for switching data packets between a multiplicity of communications links, of the type implemented with a switching device with means for memorizing data packets to be transmitted along each link. When a disconnection is detected, a specific data packet is stored in memory, called a restart packet, such that when the link is reconnected, packet transmission can be restarted in a correct manner. Independent claims are made for corresponding switching device, routing device, interface device, control module and computer program.
