High geometric precision production of dental parts, such as inlays, full or partial crowns, uses volume analysis for part using a CCD camera, projector and 3D processing
Volume analysis is done from camera images including the use of a luminous rectangular motif constructed from several luminous bias bands projected onto a model by a projector (15). The material used is ceramic neutral type, natural marble artificial plastic. The production method includes machining of the multiple dental parts connected together using the lost wax method. Inlays are done by taking a simple print Method of production with great geometric precision of dental parts, in which: (a) a model (10) for filling lack of dental tissue is formed either in vivo by defining a new volume (2) limited by healthy tissue, with the shape of a gum wall or in vitro by taking a mouth print for preparation of dentures using the print material. A projector (15) is situated with bias with respect to a camera (17), the projector and camera are mechanically and geometrically linked to a rotating plate (18) which supports the model by a housing (19) so as to produce good triangulation; a data processor (12) is used to remodel parts of volumes; then data modification from files in order to determine exactly the required profile; followed by machining using a numerical machine tool (6,22,23,24).
