A hardening/cross-linking composition (A) for delaying premature hardening(scorching) comprises a 5 - 7C cycloalkane substituted by 1 - 3 vinyl or allyl groups. The composition also contains a free radical initiator comprising an organic peroxide, azoic compound or mixture. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a cross-linkable composition (B) comprising a thermoplastic and/or elastomer polymer including compounds from (A); (2) a cross-linking process using the products described; and (3) molded or extruded objects obtained.
