An emulsion (A), based on a self-emulsifying combination of fatty alcohols and glucolipids in a weight ratio of 4-10:1, additionally contains a thickener (I) for the lipid phase. An Independent claim is included for the preparation of (A) comprising separately heating the lipid and aqueous phases, mixing and homogenizing the two phases and successively adding stabilizers, followed by other additives, while cooling.
