The attachment for the tip of a wing or propeller blade is in the shape of a goose quill, with a chamfered forward end making a leading edge (1) and an oval opening on a cylindrical cavity with a spiral slit. The slit can be divided into a number of sections, and the attachment, which is made from aluminium alloy or titanium for aircraft use, can be fitted with a de-icing system. The attachment can be fixed or pivoted to the wing or propeller blade tip.
