The device (26) for connecting a pressure switch rod to a control for a turbocharger gas discharge valve comprises a rotating ring (51) and ball joint able to tip. These damp vibrations of the I.C. engine and turbo-compressor and compensate distance and angle variations between the rod and the valve control. The damping ring and ball joint vary the angle ( alpha 1, alpha 2) between the plane defined by the rod longitudinal axis (37) and the valve activating lever longitudinal axis and a rotational axis (49) common to the device and the valve activating lever. Independent claims are included for a turbo-compressor including the device and an I.C. engine including the turbo-compressor.
