The packaging is in the form of a plastic envelope which houses a number of cable ties. A curved line of perforations (3b) along the long side of the envelope forms a tab (3c) which can be torn out to provide an opening in the side of the envelope which allows a tie to be gripped near its center and to be withdrawn through the opening, with the tie bending in the middle to allow it to emerge.
