Doorway threshold with blocks defining sill and having a gap between leading to drainage channel

A threshold of a doorway comprises a first block (1) of concrete material, where the top of the block defines the sill of the doorway and a second block (2) of concrete material placed adjacent but spaced from the first block leaving a gap (10) between the blocks which leads to a drainage space (14). The top surface of one or both of the first and second blocks may slope at an angle downwards towards the gap and the blocks may be identical. The threshold may further include a water bar (17) secured to the top of the sill and a third block (3), over which portions of the first and second blocks are located.
