PURPOSE: To obtain the polymer which exhibits an excellent dispersibility when used as a modifier for various resins or rubbery polymers and displays as an excellent adhesive or sealant by epoxidizing a block copolymer formed from an arom. vinyl compd. and a conjugated diene compd. or by epoxidizing a hydrogenation product of the block copolymer. ;CONSTITUTION: A block copolymer comprising a polymer block consisting mainly of conjugated diene units and a polymer block consisting mainly of an arom. vinyl compd. units or a partially hydrogenated block copolymer obtd. by partially hydrogenating the block copolymer is epoxidized at the sites of double bonds of the polymer block consisting mainly of conjugated diene units, forming the polymer. 99-1wt.% the polymer is compounded with 1-99wt.% thermoplastic resin and/or rubbery polymer to constitute compsn.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
