PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steady bracing device for a ball screw shaft of a ball screw type elevator capable of lengthening a lift distance without deteriorating a lift speed and safety of the elevator.;SOLUTION: A ball screw shaft 8 is screwed to a nut member 4 of a gondola main unit 1, several parts in an intermediate part of this shaft 8 are held rotatably by a pair of right/left hold members 11. An engaging hook 12 of the hold member 11 is provided capable of horizontally turning so as to be separable/approachable relating to an external peripheral surface of the ball screw shaft 8. The engaging hook 12 is energized to turn in a direction abutting to the ball screw shaft 8. A frame-shaped hold member press-moving rail 19 covering the nut member 4 is fixed to the gondola main unit 1, a tilt cam surface 20, 21 of the hold member press-moving rail 19 press-moves the hold member 11 separated from the ball screw shaft 8 in the case that the nut member 4 passes a part of the hold member 11 when the gondola main unit 1 is lifted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
